Aeros Cruise Past Miracles

    GREENVILLE, Miss. -- The Arkansas Aeros jumped out to a 30-16 lead after the first quarter and never looked back Thursday night in a 129-102 victory over the Mississippi Miracles.

    The 17-2 Aeros led 66-32 at halftime over the Miracles (5-8) on their way to their sixth straight victory. Mississippi had won three of its last four games. The Miracles last lost Dec. 28 in Springdale to the Aeros.

    Curtis Haywood and Daryn Selvy led the Aeros with 28 and 27 points respectively. Jarred Merrill added 23, while Steven Alexander chipped in an additional 20.

    The Aeros are off until Jan. 11 when they travel to Pine Bluff to meet the Arkansas RiverCatz, for a 7:05 p.m. tipoff at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
