RUSSELLVILLE -- A Michigan man being held at the Pope County jail on drug and weapons charges died after an apparent heart attack, authorities say.

Sheriff Jay Winters says the death Wednesday of James Earl Jamerson, 55, of Pontiac, Mich., will be reviewed.

"What we're looking at now is, was there anything that happened earlier on that we should have known about," the sheriff said, adding that there was no indication Jamerson was seriously ill before his death.
