Police seize methamphetamine during undercover operation

ROGERS -- Police seized nearly 3 pounds of methamphetamine after a two-month drug trafficking investigation in Northwest Arkansas.
Five suspected illegal immigrants were arrested Friday after a traffic stop in Fayetteville by the Rogers Police Department Narcotics Unit, Arkansas State Police and agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration, according to the Rogers Police Department's news release.
Rogers detectives purchased 3/4 -pound of methamphetamine and 1 ounce of cocaine during undercover operations.
Holds had been placed on each suspect for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to the news release.
Jorge Alberto Bretado-Patino, 22, of Fayetteville was arrested in connection with five counts of felony delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance. Bretado-Patino was being held Wednesday in the Benton County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
Juan Carlos Sanchez-Perez, 27, of Dallas, was arrested in connection with two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Sanchez-Perez was being held Wednesday in the jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
Alejandra Montalvo, 26, of Duncanville, Texas; Viridiana Lissett Olivares, 20, of Dallas; and Francisco Peralta, 27, of Duncanville were each arrested in connection with one count of a felony drug charge.
Montalvo was transferred from the Benton County Jail to Washington County.
Olivares was being held Wednesday in the Benton County Jail on hold for Washington County.
