Mead Awarded University Scholarship
FAYETTEVILLE -- Sarah Mead of Rogers has been awarded a University Scholarship to study at the University of Arkansas.
She attends Rogers High School.
University Scholarships represent the top 5 to 10 percent of students throughout the United States. The students have excelled in the classroom and distinguished themselves as leaders in their schools and communities, a news release notes.
Her parents are Jeff and Jody Mead of Rogers. Her high school honors include "Who's Who Among American High School Students," National Federation of Music Clubs superior award, four years; Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce Award, National Honor Roll and National Society of High School Scholars.
Hupp Receives Lyon Scholarship
BATESVILLE -- Stephanie Hupp, a 2007 Rogers High School graduate, has been accepted for admission to Lyon College in Batesville and has been awarded a President's Scholarship.
Based upon her academic and leadership record, Hupp has been awarded scholarships valued at $7,000 per year. Lyon awards scholarships each year to outstanding applicants who show special promise as productive members of the college community and valuable contributors in the field of their choice, according to a news release from the school.
She is the daughter of Lee Ann Hupp and Steve Hupp of Rogers. She is the granddaughter of Richard L. Swanda of Rogers and great-granddaughter of Dorothy Casey of Mabelvale.
Bundrick Receives Chancellor's Scholarship
FAYETTEVILLE -- Caleb Bundrick of Springdale has been awarded a Chancellor's Scholarship to study at the University of Arkansas.
Bundrick is attending Har-Ber High School in Springdale.
Chancellor's Scholarships are among the university's most prestigious awards, providing up to $8,000 per year toward tuition, fees and on-campus room and board to top students from Arkansas and the nation.
Bundrick is the son of Richard and Jennifer Bundrick of Tontitown. He plans to major in engineering.
High school honors include the Arkansas Activities Association Interscholastic State Student Recognition Award, the National Honor Roll, academic and athletic "Who's Who" nominations.
Dalton Main Honored For Achievement
ROGERS -- Dalton Main of Rogers has been recognized for academic achievement as a United States National Honor Student Award winner, the United States Achievement Academy announced.
Dalton, who attends Kirksey Middle School, will appear in the achievement academy's official yearbook, which is published nationally.
Dalton is the son of Mike and Shannon Crawford of Rogers and Jimmy Main of Kansas, Okla. His grandparents are Gerald and Suzanne Kirkland, Cheryl Rhodes of Rogers, Susie Main of Bentonville and Willis and Billie Main of Washburn, Mo.
Emerson Receives Graduate Degree
LUBBOCK, Texas -- Eben Emerson of Fayetteville was among 228 graduates of Lubbock Christian University in December commencement exercises.
Eben, the son of Joel Emerson and KG Martino of Fayetteville, graduated with a master's degree in Bible and ministry.
