Interstate Accident Kills Three

    Three people were killed and one was injured after a vehicle rear ended a car that had slowed down Friday near construction on Interstate 40 in Prairie County, Arkansas State Police say.

    The vehicle hit the back of a Honda, which hit the back of a Volvo, according to the State Police fatality report. The Volvo then hit the rear of a truck that was stopped in the inside eastbound lane of I-40 near Biscoe.

    Three people in the Honda were killed. They were identified as Emmerson Banks, 55, of Little Rock, the driver; John Henry Banks, 52, of Little Rock, and Larry Donnell Banks, 53, of North Little Rock.

    Thomas Fleming, 38, of Memphis, Tenn., the driver of the vehicle that hit the Honda, was injured and taken to a hospital in Stuttgart, state police say.

    The accident happened about 10 a.m.
