BENTONVILLE -- Disney's newest movie, "High School Musical 2," will be shown without charge this weekend at the Arend Arts Center in Bentonville.

YMCA of Northwest Arkansas is giving away tickets to the movie Friday during Tiger Pride Night at Tiger Stadium on Southeast "J" Street. The movie will first air Friday night on the Disney Channel.

Children age 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult to what YMCA officials call a "viewing party" at 6 p.m. Saturday. The party will feature interactive games and activities, including a Disney trivia challenge, giveaways, photos with friends and door prize drawings.

Disney and Wal-Mart are sponsoring the event, and 502 YMCA chapters plan to show the movie throughout the country, said Chris Sooter, president of the local YMCA.

"Wal-Mart's entire back-to-school theme is 'High School Musical 2,'" Sooter said. "It's one of those highly anticipated movies for that age group."

YMCA of Northwest Arkansas is a startup organization that plans to focus on family activities. The movie night is purely for entertainment, Sooter said.

For more information, call Sooter at 366-1551 or Kalene Griffith at 877-0077.
