YMCA Seeks Penguin Race Participants

BENTONVILLE -- The YMCA of Northwest Arkansas invites runners and walkers to its annual "Tux On The Run" fundraiser at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Organizers are looking for more participants for the third annual 5K and will accept entries the day of the race, said Kalene Griffith, vice president for the new YMCA local chapter.
Each $20 entry fee will support the Founder's Campaign. Doubletree Guest Suites and Munson Chiropractic are the main sponsors for the third annual event, nicknamed "Penguin Race."
The event starts and ends at the corner of Main and Northeast Second streets.
Costumed racers are welcomed and the top three costumes will be awarded cash and prizes during a contest prior to the race at 9:30 a.m.
