DALLAS -- Even though temperatures on the shaded Razorback side of the Cotton Bowl dipped in the second quarter and the Razorbacks were losing, many fans stayed until the bitter end of the game Tuesday, which concluded with a 38-7 loss to the University of Missouri.

Tim Stidham of Fayetteville admitted being a "trooper" when it comes to Razorback football and said he never considered leaving early, even though many fans were streaming out midway through the third quarter.

"It was great seeing Darren McFadden score his last touchdown in a Razorback uniform," Stidham said. While the running back has not announced his intentions for next year, many speculate that he will go pro.

The Mosbey family of Little Rock and Lewisville, Texas, also stuck it out to the end.

Because of the relatively early 10:30 a.m. kickoff, the Mosbeys delayed their usual family New Year's Eve "blowout" until after the game. Jonathon Mosbey said they intended to celebrate "win or lose."

Vance Barnes lives in Irving, but the rest of his family is in Northwest Arkansas (his uncle, Bruce Barnes, owns Mr. B's Steakhouse in Rogers), fostering his love for the Razorbacks. He said although he could no longer feel his toes by the middle of the fourth quarter, he was not thinking of leaving early.

"I'm a Hog Fan -- I live and die by 'em," Barnes said.

" Well maybe next year they will have a TOILET bowl. Arkansas should fit rather nicely into that one!!!!!!!!!!!!
This just shows you that they had no business playing on New Year's Day! Absolutely none.

A very frustrated Hog fan in San Antonio "

" The HOGS met my expectations 100%

Too much Texas BBQ and too many thoughts of Escalades and ladies.

Just like one of the announcers said - McFadden better get some peripheral vision before thinking he is a Pro.

How many times was there a hole to the left or right of McFadden that he could have driven an Escalade through, but he was running up the backs of two of his blockers!?

GEORGIA vs. MISSOURI would have been a better game! "
