FORT SMITH Ñ Former Wal-Mart executive Tom Coughlin received the same sentence today as a judge gave him in 2006 Ñ except for the addition of 1,500 hours of community service work.

In 2006, Coughlin was sentenced to 27 months of home detention and five years' probation after admitting to misuse of company money and gift cards to pay for some $500,000 in personal items.

Coughlin had faced more than 28 years in prison and fines of up to $1.35 million on the fraud and tax evasion convictions.

The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the sentence, which was partially based on health conditions the court deemed "irrelevant" and "inappropriate."

" Justice again prevails over vandettas! To H.Lee and Tom M., remember...what goes around, comes around, it really does :o) And to Judge Dawson, thank you so very much for sticking with the constitution and not allowing yourself to be bullied by the "corporation", you are awesome! Thank God for Judges like you. And to all of you gossips that wished for the worst...you buzzards will just have to find somewhere else to circle...sorry! "

" Buzzards are still circling. Considering Coughlin's medical report that 1500 hours may as well be a death sentence. "

" Community service doesn't mean he will be picking up trash along the highway or stacking bricks. He will provide some sort of community service, all 1500 hours of it, and manage to stay alive doing it, and then, like it or not, become a free and ALIVE man. Circle elsewhere...you won't find any roadkill here iron. "
