WASHINGTON - Third District Rep. John Boozman, R-Rogers, was named Tuesday as the top Republican on the House water resources and environment subcommittee.
Boozman has been on the panel since his election in 2001. The subcommittee oversees the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Environmental Protection Agency.
He succeeds former Rep. Richard Baker of Louisiana as the ranking Republican on the subcommittee. Baker resigned from the House earlier this month.
