MONTICELLO - A Monticello man has been charged with capital murder in the death of his 5-month-old son.

Kenny Ray Daniels, 28, was charged Wednesday in the death of his son, Kayden Daniels. A police affidavit says that Kenny Daniels admitted shaking the boy on June 5 in an effort to make him be quiet.

Daniels was arrested last week at a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Searcy.

The police affidavit says Daniels told authorities he did not intend to harm the boy, and that he was overcome by stress because his parents had died and he didn't have a job.

Kayden was taken off life support last week at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Call a family member a friend. Dont take it upon yourself to take the life of that baby in your hands "
