Baseball
• SPRINGDALE HIGH: Springdale High will host a camp for players ages 7-13 on July 21-23 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The camp will be held at the Bob Lyall Field at the Tyson Sports Complex and the cost is $55 by July 16 and $65 the day of the camp.
Basketball
• ARKANSAS LADY RAZORBACKS: Arkansas women's coach Tom Collen will host several camps this summer. The camps are: Position II Camp - Girls Grades 4-8, Friday and Saturday; and Shooting Camp - Boys and Girls Grades 2-12, July 25.
• ECCLESIA COLLEGE: Ecclesia College will host a boys and girls camp for grades 4-12 on July 21-24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is $130. Contact J.D. Parker at 422-4542 or e-mail jdparker@ecollege.edu.
Golf
• FIRST TEE: The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas will hold camps this summer at the Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club for youth ages 12-17. Summer Camp II will begin July 28 and end Aug. 6. Registration for the camps will be $100. Currently enrolled The First Tee participants can register for $75. Camp Registrations will be limited to 24 participants. • FAYETTEVILLE: Fayetteville High will host a summer fastpitch academy and fall fastpitch league for athletes ages 9-14. Tennis
• PINNACLE CC: Pinnacle Country Club will be hosting the Farm Bureau Insurance Junior Tennis Camp on July 28-29. The camp will run from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday. The camp is for ages 7 and up and woulde specially be a great warm-up for all high school tennis players in the area. Lunch will be provided both days. Volleyball
• ROGERS/HERITAGE: An elementary and junior high volleyball camp will be held July 28-30 at Rogers High. The elementary camp (grades 1-6) will run from 9-11:30 a.m., while the junior high camp (grades 7-9) will run from 1-4 p.m. Registration for the elementary camp is $45 and $50 for the junior high camp. • ARKANSAS: The University of Arkansas camp runs through July 26 for girls entering 4th-12th grades. • BENTONVILLE: Bentonville wrestling will host two camps. The first camp will be held today and Friday from 9 a.m.-noon at Barker Middle School for K-6th grade athletes and 1-4 p.m. for 7th-12th grade athletes. Cost is $40 per wrestler. • THUNDER CHICKENS: The Springdale Thunder Chickens, an 11U USSSA team, is forming in Springdale and is looking to add players for the fall and spring season. • PLAYERS SOUGHT: NW Arkansas competitive baseball team is looking for experienced players for the 2009 season. Prospective players cannot turn 10 before May 1, 2009. • SEASON TICKETS: Springdale is selling season tickets for its upcoming football season from July 21-25 at the district's athletic office on Emma Avenue. Tickets will also be available at Springdale High from 8 a.m. to noon and at Springdale Har-Ber from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Season tickets for Springdale High are $50 per seat; Har-Ber's are $60 per seat. • ROGERS SIGNUPS: The Rogers Community-School Recreation Association registration for the 2008 Youth Tackle Football League will be taken until Aug. 9 at the Rogers Activity Center. There will be two leagues offered: 4th-5th grade and 6th-7th grade. The registration fee is $50 per player (RAC Membership Required). Each player must show proof of a current physical (2008), before equipment will be given out.

• GILLHAM MEMORIAL: The Jack Ryan Gillham Memorial Golf Tournament is Saturday at Oakridge Golf Course in Huntsville. Format is a two-person scramblee with an entry fee of $100 per team. • FITNESS FOR FUN: Registration for the fall session of Fitness For Fun is now open. Fitness For Fun is a wellness program for the University of Arkansas community and surrounding area. Membership includes fitness testing, stress test (EKG) and blood lipid profile, 10-week exercise program with personal training, program orientation, HPER building membership and access to HPER fitness center, courts, pools, etc. Fees are $215 for a full-time student and $235 for faculty or others. • RUN FOR THE GRAPES: The 12th Annual Run for the Grapes presented by First Federal Bank and the Fayetteville Tri-Sport Athletic Clubwill be held on Aug. 9 at 7 a.m. Pre-registration prior to Aug. 4 is $15 for the 5K Run/Walk and $8 for the Kids Fun Run. • ICFC TRYOUTS: Ingram Comets Futbol Club will hold tryouts for Current U14 age players and older on July 17 and 22. The registration fees are as follows: Little Kicksters (4 yr. olds) and Under 6 ($40), Under 7 through Under 12 ($50), and Under 14 through Under 18 ($100). • FAYETTEVILLE LEAGUE: The Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Dept. is taking registration for the Adult Fall League. Cost is $425 per team for 15 regular season games and postseason tournament.
