Library Series Ends In August
FAYETTEVILLE -- Friday Morning Movies at the Fayetteville Public Library will conclude in August with two films.
The library will screen "James and the Giant Peach" on Aug. 1 and "Charlotte's Web 2" on Aug. 8.
The movies are shown at 10 a.m. in the Walker Community Room.
Students can sign up at the children's desk.

Alzheimer's Group Slates Workshops
SPRINGDALE -- The Alzheimer's Association will present Brain Health Strategies workshops from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Jones Center for Families.
Scheduled topics are "Maintain Your Brain," "Infectious Disease Control -- Sick Building Syndrome" and "Treating Veterans Who Have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder."

Wound Care Clinic Offers Ostomy Group
FAYETTEVILLE -- Washington Regional Medical Center will host the first meeting of a newly created Ostomy Support Group at 2 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Washington Regional Wound Care Clinic.
The clinic has recently moved to 3017 N. Bob Younkin Drive, Suite 102 in Fayetteville, across from the Washington Regional Medical Center campus.
Individuals who have any type of ostomy, fistula, Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's Disease are welcome to attend with their families and those who love and support them. This will be an opportunity to visit with other individuals who have had similar health issues. Professional staff will be available to facilitate the discussion, answer questions, and offer guidance.

Parenting Tips
Internet Safety Will Be Topic
SPRINGDALE -- The Northwest Arkansas Child Care Resource and Referral Center will present a free parenting class about Internet safety on Thursday.
The class will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jones Center for Families in room 112.
The workshop will address safety concerns of Internet uses for adults and children.

Saturday Auction Will Aid Patient
BENTONVILLE -- An auction slated for Saturday at the National Guard Armory in Bentonville will benefit Sherry L. Smith.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. and will include furniture, kitchen items, golf clubs, exercise equipment and more.
Smith has a medical condition known as ineffective esophageal motility disorder. She has not been able to swallow solid foods since November. She has no health insurance.
Donations are being accepted for the auction.

Quilt History Will Be Topic
SPRINGDALE -- Ardith Wharry will present "American History Remembered through Quilts" at a meeting Thursday of Quilters United in Learning Together.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn of Northwest Arkansas in Springdale, 500 S. 48th St.
