SPRINGDALE - The name of a man killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday morning was released Tuesday by police.
Sometime early Monday morning Austin Paul Daniel, 21, of Centerton, driving a blue Ford pickup south on Silent Grove Road, veered off the road, struck a concrete rail and landed upside-down under the Spring Creek bridge, according to a news release.
Springdale police responded to the accident at 8:13 a.m. Monday after workers at the Springdale Waste Water Treatment Plant noticed the truck and called emergency services.
Police say the truck was not visible from the road and that Daniel was pinned beneath the truck. The Benton County Coroner pronounced Daniel dead at the scene.
The identification was delayed while the next of kin was notified and arrangements were made for the family to identify the body.
