FAYETTEVILLE -- Former Springdale High wide receiver Andrew Norman has rejoined Arkansas' football team as a walk-on, a source close to the situation told The Morning News on Thursday.

Norman was among four former Springdale High stars who signed with Arkansas out of high school, but he transferred to Tulsa after redshirting his only season with the Razorbacks in 2006-07.

Norman recently decided to leave Tulsa because of nonfootball-related reasons, according to the source who asked not to be identified.

The wide receiver has enrolled in classes at Arkansas and started practicing with the team this week, the source said. He must sit out this season and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Norman was recruited heavily by Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino when he was still at Louisville, but Norman turned down a scholarship offer from Petrino to sign with the Razorbacks.
