Walk To Cure Diabetes
The Northwest Arkansas Branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will hold its eighth annual Walk to Cure Diabetes on Saturday at The University of Arkansas -- The Gardens at Razorback Road.
The event is sponsored by Wal-Mart Stores Inc./Sam's Club and The Dannon Co. Richard B. Kley Jr., president, The Wal-Mart Group -- The Coca Cola Company is the walk corporate chairman.
Corporate, family, and school teams and individual walkers are expected to raise more than $350,000 for diabetes research.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the 5K Walk begins at 9 a.m.

Buddy Walk
The Saturday event at Helen Tyson Middle School in Springdale will include a performance by Chris Burke with Joe and John DeMasi. Burke played Corky on the television series "Life Goes On."
Registration starts at 1 p.m., and the Buddy Wak begins at 2 p.m. The Chris Burke Band performs at 3 p.m. The Buddy Walk benefits Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas.

Benton County Memory Walk
The Saturday event at Memorial Park in Bentonville benefits the Alzheimer's Association. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Body Building Event, Walk
The Northwest Arkansas Classic will hold its annual Body Building Competition, at Har-Ber High School Performing Arts Center in Springdale on Saturday.
A new event, a 5K run/walk, has been added.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the center, and the proceeds from this will benefit the Cheryl Brammlett Scholarship Foundation, and The Northwest Arkansas Crisis Center.
