Centerton Advertising And Promotion Commission

The year-old Centerton Advertising and Promotion Commission met Thursday to consider possible slogans for the city.
The commission did not have a quorum, so it will probably decide on a slogan at its November meeting, said commission Chairman Bill Edwards.
The slogan is meant to promote the city, Edwards said, and would appear on signs and the city's Web site.

The commission considered 55 possible slogans. Among them:
• The Apple of Arkansas -- the Core Community
• Where Southern Hospitality Begins
• Celebrating the Past, Focusing on the Future
• Feel the Effect
• A City of Character
• A City Where Thousands Live as Millions Wish They Could
• A Little Piece of Paradise
• Moving in the Right Direction
• A City You'll Never Want To Leave
• Simply Better
