BASKETBALL
• ROGERS ADULT LEAGUE: Rogers Community-School Recreation Association registration for the 2008-09 adult basketball season will be taken until Oct. 13 at the Rogers Activity Center. There will be two divisions offered: Men's Open and Men's Industrial. To participate in the Men's Industrial division, all players must be an employee for the team they are playing for. The entire entry fee will be due when the roster is turned in. The entry fee will be $500 per team. League players must live or work in the Rogers School District. • ROGERS YOUTH LEAGUE: Registration for the Rogers Community-School Recreation Association youth basketball program will be taken until Nov. 16 at the Rogers Activity Center. GOLF
• BV LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP: The Bella Vista Women's Golf Club will hold their annual League Championship on Thursday-Friday at Bella Vista CC (Thursday) and Berksdale (Friday). All golfers must have been a BVWGC member prior to July 1. Limited to the first 144 entries. All entries must be received by Sept. 23 and there are no refunds after that date. Entry fee is $50. • ALS CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC: The ALS Association of Northwest Arkansas will host its 3rd Annual Golf Classic at the Bella Vista Country Club on Friday. All proceeds will benefit local patient services programs in the fight against Lou Gehrig's disease.
• RAZORBACK PARK SCRAMBLE: Razorback Park golf course in Fayetteville will host a 2-person scramble Sunday starting at 1:30 p.m. The fee is $65 per person. Call 443-6872 or David at 530-1495.
• PAGNOZZI SCRAMBLE: The Pagnozzi Four-Person Scramble will be held Oct. 16-17 at Fayetteville Country Club. Entry fee is $200 per individual and $800 per team. For more information e-mail www.pagnozzicharities.org or call 443-2550.
• HI-SCOTS BREAKFAST: The Hi-Scots Golf Group will have their fall breakfast Oct. 29 at Highland's Papa Mikes. The cost is $7 and registration is at 9:30 and breakfast is at 10. MISCELLANEOUS
• PICKLEBALL: If you're looking for a way to exercise and stay fit, the old childhood game of Pickleball is being offered at the Springdale Youth Center every Mon-Wed-Fri from 9-11 a.m.
• UPWARD PROGRAMS: Rogers First Baptist Church, Lowell 1st Baptist Church and Rogers First Church of the Nazarene are pairing up this year to offer Upward Basketball/Cheerleading for boys and girls in grades K-6. Early through Oct. 18 and the cost for basketball and cheerleading is $65 per child. After that date the price increases to $70. • POKER RUN: There will be a motorcycle poker run Oct. 11 in Gentry. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. and last bike out will be at 9 a.m. There will be prizes for high hand and low hand. Door prizes will be available as well. Pre-registration cost is $25 per hand played (if you have a passenger and they play a hand it is $25). The route will go through Oklahoma and Arkansas only. ASSA LEAGUES: All-Star Sports Arena indoor soccer leagues are forming. For ages U5-U8, registration is through Oct. 20 for a six-game season; U6-U14 league, registration is through Jan. 3; beginning women's league on Saturdays (shinguards required). • PLAYERS SOUGHT: The NWA Heat is currently looking for competitive softball players to complete their roster. They are currently 12U and will move to 14U in the fall. TENNIS
• PINNACLE CLASSIC: Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers will be hosting its final tournament of the year Oct. 17-19. Tournament events include Men's and Women's doubles levels 2.5 and up and Mixed Doubles for 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0 levels. Entrants may enter one regular and one mixed event. The format will be a round robin with prizes awarded to winners and finalists. The cost is $50 per team and the entry deadline is Oct. 14. Call Jeff Stone at 418-7443.
VOLLEYBALL
