Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville sponsors the Championship Fathering Experience from the National Center for Fathering on Nov. 14-15.
Sessions are The Power of the Parenting Team (moms admitted free) from 7 to 9:45 p.m. Nov. 14, Dads in Challenging Situations from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Nov. 15 and Championship Fathering from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Nov. 15.

A Basic Judaism class begins from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas. The class will meet every Tuesday. All are welcome, but the class is particularly aimed at those who want to begin or deepen Jewish practice.
Cost is $15 per class for non-members, $12 per class for members and official supporters of Temple Shalom. The first class session is free.

Bella Vista Christian Church presents The Spoken 4 Southern Gospel Quartet in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday. A love offering will be taken.
First Presbyterian Church in Springdale hosts a Stephen Series Caring Ministry Workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 8. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with refreshments at 8:30 a.m.
The workshop is sponsored by Stephen Ministries, a St. Louis, Mo., based training organization for Christian caregiving. Sessions will cover "Ministering to Those Experiencing Grief," an introduction to the Stephen Series and "How to Care in a Distinctively Christian Way."

St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville hosts a special All Saints/All Souls Mass at 9 a.m. Nov. 1. The Mass will include a special blessing honoring all interred in the church's columbarium and other loved ones who have died.

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale celebrates Presbyterian Heritage Sunday during worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. A reception follows.
The annual "Trunk-or-Treat" event for children is slated for 6 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot. A hot dog supper will follow the trick or treating.
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers observes All Saints Day, a Holy Day of Obligation, at the following times: 6:30 p.m. Friday (bilingual Mass), 9 a.m. Nov. 1 (English Mass) and noon Nov. 1 (Spanish Mass).
The 5:30 p.m. Mass on Nov. 1 will be Sunday's Solemnity Vigil Mass, celebrating the Commemoration of All the Faithfully Departed, or All Souls Day.
The annual cemetery blessing is slated for 3 p.m. Nov. 2 at the St. Vincent Cemetery at the corner of Arkansas 62 and Cemetery Road (going toward Avoca). The public is invited.

The Presbyterian Players at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista present their Fall Dinner Theater at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Nov. 1, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Nov. 2. The play is a two-act mystery, "The Case of the Show-Stopping Nun Nabber."
Tickets are $16 for the dinner theater and $6 for the matinee. They can be purchased at the church from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
Proceeds benefit Horses for Healing and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
The Rev. Larry Woodward and his wife, Beverly, will be honored for 25 years of service at the Fayetteville First Church of the Nazarene on Oct. 26. The celebration will take place during the morning worship service, with an all-church dinner following. A reception is slated from 2 to 4 p.m. that day.
Woodward earned religion degrees at Southern Nazarene University and a master of divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary. Before moving to Fayetteville, he served as a pastor in Arlington, Texas, and Liberal, Kan.
His numerous positions with the North Arkansas District include Sunday school chairman, secretary and advisory board member. He also served on the Southern Nazarene University board of trustees.
