Garden Club Plans Field Trip
ROGERS -- The Garden Club of Rogers will meet Tuesday for a field trip to the Blue Springs Heritage Center in Eureka Springs. Participants will meet at 9:15 a.m. at the Dollar General Store, on the corner of U.S. 62 and Second Street. Lunch will be at a restaurant of choice following the program.
A tour -- through gardens demonstrating crops, plants, flowers and healing herbs at home in the Ozarks -- will be guided by Carma Lewis, director.
The horticulture committee will offer unusual plant types as door prizes. Visitors are welcome.

Music Club Slates Program
BELLA VISTA -- The Andante Club, a National Affiliation of Music Clubs, will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the choir room at Bella Vista Baptist Church, 50 E. Lancashire Road.
The program will feature American women composers Andrea Ramsey, Braswell/Woodard, Amy Beach, Olive Dungan and Virginia Queen. Music composed by these women will be performed by Andante club members, including vocal and piano performances. All people interested in music are welcome to attend this or any of the Andante Club's meetings and programs.
Retired Women Meet For Lunch
ROGERS -- Wal-Mart Retired Women (Headquarters) will meet for fun and fellowship at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Johnny Carino's Italian Restaurant, 535 North 46th St.

Exchange Club Hosts Spaghetti Supper
FAYETTEVILLE -- The Exchange Club of Fayetteville will hold its fourth annual spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ramay Junior High School.
Tickets, available in advance or at the door, cost $7 and will enter those attending in a raffle for a Toshiba DVD Player, IPOD Shuffle, Streamlite LED Flashlite, handcrafted adirondack chairs or 500 custom-printed business cards. There will be separate drawings for each and you need not be present to win.
The fundraiser will advance the Exchange Club's mission to prevent child abuse by helping the club sponsor local organizations like Children's House, the Children's Safety Center, the Boys and Girls Club and the Sunshine Camp.

Wisconsin Club Meets Thursday
BELLA VISTA -- The Wisconsin Club will meet Thursday at the Shrimpman's Yacht Club, 101 Marina Drive. A social hour will begin at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Easy listening and dancing music will be provided. The event costs $22 per person.
Handweavers Guild Meets Saturday
SPRINGDALE -- The Northwest Arkansas Handweavers Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Art Center of the Ozarks, 214 S. Main St.
Sharon Loyd will present the program on Weaving for Felting.
Participants are encouraged to bring woven items for Show and Tell.
Visitors are welcome.
Submarine Veterans Meet Saturday
ROGERS -- The Northwest Arkansas Base (USS Snook Base) of the United States Submarine Veterans will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Texas Land & Cattle Co. in Rogers. All Navy personnel who qualified and served on submarines are invited to attend.

Whodunit's Group Slates Speaker
FAYETTEVILLE -- The Whodunit's Book Group, a club that deals with mystery and crime for both readers and writers, will meet at noon Saturday at AQ Chicken House in Fayetteville.
The guest speaker will be Joel Giarrusso Sharp, a retired FBI agent who has worked in New Orleans, Memphis, Chicago and Fayetteville and who has dealt with white collar crime, kidnapping and anti-terrorism. Newcomers are welcome.

Welcome Club Renews Memberships
BELLA VISTA -- The Welcome Club is accepting renewal dues of $8 per person and $15 per couple for the 2009 calendar year. Newly joining members will have membership eligibility for the remainder of 2008 and the 2009 calendar year. The 2009 membership directory will be published in April. Writers Group Reorganizes
FAYETTEVILLE -- The St. John's Writers Group is reorganizing starting Nov. 11. The club will now meet at 1:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2730 E. Township St. The club focuses on recording life stories and memoirs. Participants are encouraged to bring a pen, paper and memories.
The meetings are open to all and no previous writing experience is needed. There are no class fees.

Beta Sigma Phi Slates Plans
BELLA VISTA -- Iota Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will hold its regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 12 at the home of Shirley Sheets; Judy Schoeny will act as co-hostess. The program will be given by Lila Smith.
The Nov. 19 social will be a tour of the Peel House with Iota Alpha member Mary Frizzell acting as tour guide.
The club's service project for November is a monetary donation to Project Lifesaver.
Garden Club Hosts Benefit
BELLA VISTA -- The Bella Vista Garden Club will host its second annual card and game scholarship benefit from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Nov. 14 at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road.
The cost is $40 per table ($10 per person) and light refreshments, tea and coffee will be served. Proceeds from the benefit will go to horticulture scholarships and other community projects that the club supports.

PC User Group Slates Meeting
SPRINGDALE -- The Northwest Arkansas Personal Computer User Group will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at Suite 217, 219, 221 of the Education & Computer Center in the north wing of the Jones Center for Families. The program will be a question- and-answer session, moderated by Wes Eckles, president.
Visitors are welcome without charge or obligation. Membership applications will be on hand for those interested in joining.

Ladies Day Out Plans Altus Trip
The Bella Vista Welcome Club Ladies Day Out will travel to Altus on Nov. 18. Participants will visit Wiederkehr Wine Cellars for a tour, wine tasting and lunch off the menu at the Weinkeller Restaurant. Those interested can visit the nearby St. Mary's Catholic Church, built in 1879 and known for its paintings and 29 stained glass windows.
Participants will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot across from the Bella Vista Town Center, just to the right of the Evangelical Free Church.

Starlight Club Plans Dance
BELLA VISTA -- Starlight Ballroom Dancers will meet Nov. 19 at Riordan Hall, 2 Riordan Drive. There will be a dancing lesson from 6:30 to 7 p.m. followed by dancing to recorded music until 9 p.m.
Entry to Riordan Hall is $2 per person or free to those with a Property Owners Association picture ID card. In case of inclement weather, contact Riordan Hall at 855-8170 before 5 p.m. for cancellations.
The club is open to the public.

Mothers Group Slates Fair
BELLA VISTA -- Bella Vista Christian Church's MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will host its second annual Holiday Extravaganza from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Bella Vista Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road.
The indoor craft and business fair will offer concessions and a door prize of a new sewing machine. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
Vendor booth space is available for $30.
