Professor To Speak On Race In Election Process

    A political science professor will discuss how race and class affects U.S. elections at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 24, according to a Benton County Democratic Women's Club news release.

    Pearl K. Ford is an assistant political science professor at the University of Arkansas. A native of Savannah, Ga., Ford earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Savannah State College and a doctorate in political science from Howard University.

    Ford's work includes "African-Americans in Georgia: A Reflection of Politics and Policy in the New South."
