Trails Closed For Hunting At Hobbs

Some trails at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area will be closed during the fall firearm deer hunting seasons.
Shaddox Hollow, Pigeon Roost and the Hidden Diversity Multi-Use trails will be closed to all users during the fall gun deer seasons. The Hobbs muzzleloader season is Nov. 15-19. The Hobbs modern gun season is Nov. 29-Dec. 3.
The Hobbs firing range will also be closed during these two seasons.
The Historic Van Winkle Trail on Arkansas 12 will remain open during all hunting seasons.

" In all the years I've been deer hunting, I have yet to see a wild deer wearing a hunters orange vest and hat.
Also, if you are out hiking in an area that is open to modern gun or muzzle loading season, your are required to wear at least 400 square inches of hunters orange and hat, or the chartruse. If you follow these rules, you should be safe from being mastaken as a deer. "
