Rick Harris has joined The Point Financial Group in Rogers. Harris has 17 years of experience in the securities industry, having spent 10 years with Morgan Stanley in Rogers, and is registered to sell all investment products. Harris is also the principle co-owner of Eddie Haskell's Patio & Grill, a restaurant and private club located in Rogers. Harris is affiliated with LPL Financial, the nation's leading independent broker/dealer.
Carolyn S. Jackson has been promoted to the position of Employment Services Coordinator for the Elizabeth Richardson Center in Fayetteville. The Elizabeth Richardson Center provides services for individuals throughout Northwest Arkansas who have developmental delays. Prior to this position, Jackson served as the Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator for ERC. Jackson, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, holds a master of science degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Arkansas.
The Residence Inn by Marriott has hired Debi Barnes as sales manager for both the Residence Inn and the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Rogers. Barnes has bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminal justice from Drury College in Springfield, Mo. She previously was an account executive for the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce.
Marc A. Rogers, M.D., FACS, a board-certified General Surgeon, recently joined the active medical staff of Northwest Medical Center — Bentonville. In practice since 1997, Rogers returns to Bentonville (his hometown until he left for college) from Hot Springs, where he was part of a private surgery practice group for the past 11 years. Rogers performs a broad spectrum of surgeries, including colorectal, vascular, thoracic, breast, endocrine and hernia procedures. He has a special clinical interest in advanced laparoscopy. Rogers received his medical education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where he also served an internship in General Surgery. He then completed a General Surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine at Wichita, Kan. In addition, he holds the rank of major in the Arkansas Army National Guard, serving as a General Surgeon and Flight Surgeon (including two tours of duty in Iraq).
