WEST FORK -- Turnovers have been a problem for Heber Springs this season.

Last week in their first-round playoff game against Prairie Grove, the Panthers (7-4) had four turnovers inside their own 30, giving Prairie Grove plenty of chances to keep the game close.

In the end, Heber Springs came away with a narrow 33-30 victory.

"Had we not had those turnovers, we felt like we could have kept scoring on them and forced (Prairie Grove) to give up a little bit," Heber Springs coach Steve Janski said. "But that's been a problem for us all year, we just don't know how to take care of the football sometimes."

Other than the turnovers, Janski said he feels confident about his team's ability to play well tonight against West Fork. The Tigers, who went 9-1 during the regular season, haven't played in two weeks after having a first-round bye.

West Fork quarterback Daniel Holiday has completed 62 percent of his passes (100-of-162) for 1,279 yards and 10 touchdowns. Running back Taylor Genz has also been a dominant factor for West Fork's offense, rushing for 891 yards and 15 touchdowns.

"We're rested, we're healthy, so I think the main thing is our guys are just really ready to play a game again," West Fork coach Rodney Selph said. "There's no doubt that Heber presents a lot of problems for us, but I feel like we're ready to play to the best of our ability."

Heber Springs running back Braylon Mitchell is the Panthers' best rushing option; quarterback Wes McMullen has also thrown for more than 1,300 yards this year, with most of his passes going to speedy wideout Keegan McPherson.

"I think the thing that's scariest about Heber is how quick they are," Selph said. "That's the thing we have to make sure doesn't beat us, because their speed alone is probably faster than we've seen all year long."
