SPRINGDALE -- Shiloh Christian and Lonoke will offer up similar styles tonight when the two teams battle in a Class 4A playoff game in Champions Stadium.

Both the visiting Jackrabbits (10-1) and the host Saints have balanced offenses that are equally dangerous on the ground and through the air.

Lonoke has accumulated just over 4,800 yards of offense this season as quarterback Rollins Elam has passed for 2,370 yards and almost 30 touchdowns.

"Our rushing and passing is almost equally split," said Lonoke coach Jeff Jones. "Rollins is a good quarterback and does a good job throwing the football."

Shiloh coach Josh Floyd said keeping Lonoke out of the end zone will be a challenge.

"What scares us is that Lonoke is effective running and passing the football," Floyd said. "They have a great run game and they put receivers in motion. They put you in a bind, defensively."

Jones said Lonoke will also be in a bind defensively.

The Saints (10-1) have 4,860 yards of offense in 11 games -- 2,600 rushing and 2,260 passing. The Saints play two quarterbacks as Kiehl Frazier is 74 of 115 for 1,069 yards while David Matthews is 46 of 78 for 1,082 yards. Both have thrown 13 touchdown passes.

Jones is impressed with the Saints' passing attack but the third-year Lonoke coach is worried about stopping Shiloh's ground game. Thanks to a big and physical offensive line, the Saints top three rushers have combined for 23 touchdowns.

"When they want to, Shiloh can line up and mash you," Jones said. "They can go up-and-down the field on anyone. Up front, the offensive line is extremely impressive. They remind me of (Class 7A) Cabot."

Floyd said Lonoke's secondary is one of the best the Saints have come up against this season and limiting turnovers is a must.

"Their secondary can take it (interceptions) 30, 40 yards back for a touchdown," Floyd said. "We have to protect the football."
