    Winter Dreams Junior League of Northwest Arkansas

    The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas will host its 10th annual Winter Dreams Home Tour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Twelve area homes will be included on the tour -- four homes in Benton County and eight homes in Washington County. Of particular note, the home of renowned architect, Marlon Blackwell, is one of the homes featured.

    Come admire the holiday decor and the work of area designers. The Junior League's critically acclaimed cookbook "Add Another Place Setting" will be available for purchase in a select number of homes.

    Back by popular demand, Wal-Mart will be decorating one of the featured homes, and there will be a silent auction in that home for its holiday decor.

    Tour tickets are $20 and are available at the following locations:

    Breakfast with Santa

    Arkansas Children's Hospital Circle of Friends

    The Arkansas Children's Hospital Northwest Arkansas Circle of Friends will host Breakfast with Santa at the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville, from 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 13.

    This event is open to the public, and tickets are on sale now. The morning includes breakfast and lots of fun activities for the kids. Tickets may be purchased ahead of time for $5 a plate from a Circle of Friends member or through Guest Services at the mall or $8 a plate at the door the morning of the event.

    2008 International Festival

    M&N Augustine Foundation

    The 2008 International Festival, allowing people to sample great American cook-out food and dishes from around the world, will be from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at St. Joseph School, 1722 Starr Road, in Fayetteville.

    Adults will be admitted for $15. Children 5 and under will be admitted for $5.

    Several prizes are available for raffle.

    The festival is the foundation's major fundraiser.

    Top Chefs And Rock Stars

    Peace At Home

    The second annual "Top Chefs and Rock Stars" benefit for Peace at Home Family Shelter is slated for 5:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Fayetteville Town Center.

    The event will feature local chefs competing in five categories for the honor of Top Chef. Event guests will sample the work of competing chefs, hear several local bands and bid on private concerts from those bands. Some of the competing chefs also will donate for auction full-course meals, to be prepared in auction winners' homes.

    Tickets for the casual event are $50 and are available at Peace at Home Thrift Store, 973-9571, 614 W. Sycamore, Fayetteville; or George's Majestic Lounge, Fayetteville.

    Sid Groves New Year's Eve Celebration

    HOPE (Helping Oncology Patients Excel)

    The second annual Sid Groves Memorial New Year's Eve Celebration to benefit HOPE (Helping Oncology Patients Excel) will be from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 31 at St. Joseph Catholic Church's parish hall in Tontitown. Tickets are $28 in advance or $30 at the door. Information: 571-4673.
